It's a good day!

Today is a good day for me. Calgary has lost in the first round of the playoffs. This is very good news, not only because I loathe Calgary but also for my hockey pool which has four Anaheim Ducks in it. If they failed to beat the Flames my pool would have been toast. Today I am wearing Barb's Calgary jersey for my co-workers as a little reminder of their painful loss. I will say this about Kiprusoff and Iginla. These guys are gamers in my mind. I don't think that they had any support whatsoever. I really like those two guys, but when their is no support anywhere it is tough to win. Hamrlik and Phanuef looked bad and all the forwards were under achievers as well. I think that Kiprusoff didn't look as good as he has in the past but with some offensive support I believe that he played well enough to give them a real good shot to win. At any rate I am excited that the Flames are shining up their golf clubs. If they make some moves to get some offensive help in the off season they could become very good, because they are set defensively and in goal.
